The Bus Route That Escaped Everyone?

Hello readers. The once weekly rail replacement bus which ran from Ealing Broadway- Wandsworth Road was discontinued on June 13th 2013. The service was to put on to replace a Cross Country train service from Birmingham to Brighton which ceased in 2008 at a cost of £500 per week. Expensive!!
It wasn't found on any timetable or bus stop flag, hardly any people used it and cost £450 per week. This could be the country's most useless bus service!
It ran on Tuesdays at 09:45 am from bus stop F at Ealing Broadway. Only train/rail enthusiasts seemed to know about this service. Apparently, it was only being used between 0-3 passengers per week. It is often known as the "ghost bus" however that is not it's official name, people called the service this because it wasn't on any timetables/bus stop flags. The total journey time was 70 minutes and apparently, only the same people used it.
Until 14th December 2007, CrossCountry ran two trains per day in each direction between Birmingham and Brighton (via Kensington Olympia) using sections of track in West London. It was used by about 80 people.
So, how come no one knew about this bus. I didn't find out about it until yesterday, and it starts in my local area!! If anyone has any pictures of the bus service/any other facts I'd like to hear about them please. You can either tweet me @LondonBusChaos or leave a blog comment right here.  Click here for an ITV news report about this service. Thanks for reading this post!
