A Rough Guide To Swansea's Bus Routes!

Hello, and welcome to a post dedicated to Swansea's bus routes. If you're travelling near the area, this should be a handy guide. Most bus routes run from Swansea's main bus station. It has recently been refurbished. This is probably due to the fact that the odd pigeon came into the waiting area every hour. However in a few years the bus station will be as dirty as it was before. Anyway, most routes run Monday-Saturday with ranging frequencies. The most frequent routes run every 12 minutes. The next set of routes run every 30 minutes. Most of the routes run every 60 minutes which is not brilliant. Some routes run every 2 hours while the rest run once a day! Oh dear, there needs to be a dramatic frequency increase.
On a Sunday, things get a lot worse. MOST ROUTES DON'T RUN. This is ridiculous. Why stop routes on a Sunday, the bus service is needed! Almost every week, a Sunday service is withdrawn. On a weekday, there are 7 routes from Clydach to Swansea Railway Station. On a Sunday, there are none. I don't understand why the bus companies don't run their routes on a Sunday. Surely, there are buses left over in the garage to operate the routes! The routes that do run on a Sunday average every 2 hours. London has the luxury of a high frequency on most routes. I know some people complain when they have a 20 minute wait for a bus in London, but in Swansea it's a lot worse!
Furthermore, First Cymru and South Wales Transport both ordered 8 buses for their routes in Swansea. They are Enviro 200's with leather seating. I understand that your first impressions are good. However, I have yet more complaints to express. The buses are 10.2m, but inside, the seats are all squashed together, there isn't any room, it's uncomfortable and hot and gloomy. The buses are so full that sometimes people can't get on and this  has a catastrophic effect on the way passenger's feel about the bus service. Furthermore, on most routes, there is a 60 minute wait. If you can think of any more complaints, feel free to leave a comment and tell me your thoughts. I hope this has persuaded you to buy a Swansea bus timetable.
